Dear Brooks Elementary Community,
The Brooks Foundation would like to welcome you to the 2021-2022 School Year! We are so excited to meet you and we are so proud of Brooks Elementary School and the learning potential of all of our students. Brooks Elementary is such a special place, and we are all so very lucky to be a part of this learning community.
YOU are what makes this school and community special, and the Brooks Foundation could not exist without you.
As a refresher the Brooks Foundation is a nonprofit whose mission - the sole purpose - is to fund additional teachers, support staff, and programs at Brooks that are not funded by the county and state.
This school year, Foundation donations are funding THREE positions. Brooks would not have these positions without the Foundation funds. This year is a very critical year for the Brooks Foundation. As we are all aware, last year was atypical, therefore fundraising was lower than normal. Luckily, the Foundation was able to use reserved funding to supplement the donation for the 2021-22 school year, allowing 3 support staff positions for this school year. What this means is that the Foundation is essentially starting from scratch this year. Every single donation matters and is important. It is VITAL for us to reach our goal in order to maintain the level of Foundation support staff we currently have. Bottom line, without donations, the positions will not be here next year.
This is where YOU come in. There are so many ways you can help to support the Foundation. You can share our website information, like/share/comment on our social media posts, forward emails, text your friends and family - anything to get the word out! If you are able to donate, any amount is important and appreciated.
Last year the focus was keeping our collective heads above water as we navigated the unknown, but this year's goal is to CLIMB! Our 2021-2022 Fundraising goal is $80,000. We can do this Brooks Family! The sky's the limit!
President, Brooks Elementary School Foundation
